Would you like to take part in producing exhibitions and public programs at Pragovka Gallery and become part of the vibrant local and international contemporary art scene?
We are looking for a Production Manager to take on the project coordination of exhibitions and ensure their smooth delivery – from planning through to final implementation. Join our team in the newly renovated premises of Pragovka Gallery!
Your responsibilities will include:
– Managing the production of exhibitions (nine exhibitions annually in three blocks), openings, accompanying programs, and community events (including technical production and basic sound setup for smaller events)
– Preparing detailed production schedules and timelines, overseeing their implementation, managing deadlines, and monitoring assigned budgets
– Providing administrative support (e.g. meeting minutes, project administration, preparation of contract materials, delivery reports, and contract coordination)
– Coordinating exhibition installations – booking external technicians, overseeing and assisting with installation and deinstallation, organizing transportation of artworks, and supervising art handling
– Supporting daily operations of the gallery – managing a small team of gallery attendants (monthly shift planning and communication), overseeing daily gallery routines
– Assisting with PR (e.g. updating the website, gathering promotional materials)
– Communicating with curators, artists, and external service providers
– Closely collaborating with the entire Pragovka Gallery team
What we are looking for:
– Enthusiasm for contemporary art and culture
– Minimum secondary education (high school diploma)
– Independence, precision, and the ability to respond to unexpected challenges
– Strong organizational and communication skills (in Czech and English)
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
– Willingness to work flexible hours during events (occasional evenings and weekends)
– Experience in producing cultural/art projects and technical knowledge of exhibition installation is an advantage
– Responsible and efficient multitasker
– Good computer skills (MS Office required; graphic software is a plus)
