Libuše Jarcovjáková is a legend of world photography and a fiercely independent woman who defied all conventions. Her life is a mosaic of fascinating encounters and wild stories — from the gritty underground of communist Czechoslovakia to exclusive fashion shoots in Tokyo, and a dramatic escape to West Berlin, where she witnessed the fall of the Iron Curtain. Drawing from thousands of analog photographs and pages of personal diaries, director Klára Tasovská has created a formally distinctive documentary that captivated audiences at the Berlinale.
