Adam Štech (*1980) is a Czech visual artist living in Prague. In 2001-2008 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Jiří Sopek and Vladimír Skrepl. In his work he often combines various artistic styles and -isms, e.g. cubism and expressionism, and besides painting he also works with sculpture and plaster mosaics. He won the Critics’ Prize for Young Painting (2011) and his works are represented in Czech and international collections. He has had important solo exhibitions at the Václav Špála Gallery (2019), the American Ascaso Gallery (2022) and the DOX Contemporary Art Centre in Prague (2024).
