Adam Turzo

Adam Turzo works at the intersection of various visual media, with the aim of expanding their expressive possibilities. In his creative practice, he explores the relationships between object, matter and space, paying particular attention to the semantic and narrative potential of materials. He perceives these as an active component of the work, shaping not only its visual form but also the way in which the viewer perceives and interprets it.
His work is characterised by an emphasis on the physical nature of the artwork and its immediate presence. By combining organic and inanimate elements, he creates situations that oscillate between the natural and the artificial, the familiar and the indeterminate. Adam’s installations are characterised by interactive, immersive or haptic elements that stimulate the viewer’s senses, thereby opening up space for both physical and intellectual engagement.
He often draws the content and form of his works from the fundamental conditions of life. Through them, he reflects on the mundane, cultural rituals and social stereotypes. At the same time, the materials themselves carry a subtle commentary on environmental issues and the need to re-evaluate consumer habits and traditions that are gradually losing their relevance in today’s world.
He studied at the Glass Studio at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, and subsequently completed a Master’s degree at the Drawing and Printmaking Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology.
