Where she was born, she certainly won’t be laying any more eggs. So she sets out into the world. But life on the outside is no bed of roses. After a few wild escapades, she eventually finds what others of her kind can only dream of: love and a new home. Little does she know, however, that right next to her freshly laid eggs, a smugglers’ den is hatching…Hungarian provocateur György Pálfi (Taxidermia, Final Cut) tells, through the eyes of a feathered heroine, a tragicomic allegory about freedom, resistance against the system, and the longing for motherhood. This original darkly humorous drama, featuring an unexpected acting star, received an Honourable Mention at the Toronto International Film Festival. (Source: Aerofilms)
