A City for Everyone

Target group: 1st–4th grade elementary school students
Duration: 90 minutes (with art workshop)
Theme: coexistence, pigeons, city

The educational program is based on Oksana Sadovenko’s exhibition and focuses on the theme of
coexistence between humans and animals in an urban environment. Through working with paintings
and sculptures, students will learn about pigeons as everyday but often overlooked
city dwellers and reflect on who else inhabits and shares urban space.
The program raises questions about care and relationships between individual city dwellers.
Students will think about how people affect the lives of animals in the city and why it is important to
perceive the urban environment as a shared space in which not only people have their place.
In the creative part of the program, students will form their own idea of a city where
people and animals can live together so that the city functions as a sensitive and open
space for all its inhabitants.

It is necessary to book educational programs in advance from February 10 via email at
edukace@pragovkagallery.cz or by phone at +420 604 255 824.

You can visit the program on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
