Pragovka Gallery invites you to the accompanying program of the exhibition of Pragovka’s artist residents Podmínky umění.
You can look forward to a guided tour with the exhibition curator Jana Písaříková and selected artists and a concert by the band MR. The evening will also include a presentation of the residency outcome by Lucie Vobr Jestřabíková.
MR are Marie Ladrová (vocals, guitar, viola, theremin) and Ludmila Bartošová (bass guitar, guitar, vocals). At present, their music blends elements of psychedelic indie folk and alternative rock, enriched with electronics and ambient influences. Their lyrics evoke journeys through nature and reverence for its forces, healing processes, endings and new beginnings, encounters along pilgrimages, human dreams, losses, ruin and hopes. Song texts are composed both of MR’s own writing and collages of other authors’ words (for instance Khalil Gibran, Erich Fromm, Olga Tokarczuk, Plato, David Abram).
