This year, open-air screenings will take place every Tuesday after dark in the second bay of the newly renovated E Factory building. Admission is free (voluntary contributions are welcome). Until the screening begins, you are welcome to visit Pragovka Gallery and Factory Kafe during extended opening hours.

Czech painter and visual artist Otto Placht (b. 1962) is sometimes referred to as the “painter of the jungle.” His artistic and personal life is divided between Prague and Peru, where he draws inspiration from the depths of the Amazon rainforest, ayahuasca rituals, and local communities. The film captures his creative process both in urban Prague interiors and in a studio built directly in the jungle. Poetic shots of nature alternate with the harsh reality of the metropolis, revealing Placht’s passionate romantic relationships and complex family life. His painting emerges not only as a tribute to untouched nature, but also as an environmental appeal for its protection. (source: Ji.hlava IDFF)
