Matouš Marek, Marie Ladrová and Richard Nestler
Radka Částková and Magdalena Šimurdová are connected by shared posthumanist starting points, which they explore through experimental investigation of the properties of various natural or industrially produced materials, in line with the principles of new materialism. A shared fascination becomes inorganic nature full of sediments and layered rocks. The installation brings together the material research both artists have conducted so far. It examines ores, sand, glass, cement, and plaster, transmuting them into new compositions. The exhibition Murmuring Matter thus embodies a listening to matter, to the materials used.
